Fulcrum
The most durable piece of any mechanical system needs to be the Fulcrum upon which the lever arms act. The same is true in the bio-mechanical system of the human body. With any movement (“levering”) there needs to be a solid fulcrum upon which to lever and therefore move, otherwise the system will either be inefficient or damage may occur.
Lever
Once the Fulcrums are ‘built’ to the necessary specifications, then the emphasis can switch to improving the levers.
Sport
In order to perform any sort of activity, whether it be sports or activities of daily living, the first two pieces of the 'human movement equation’ need to be established. Fulcrum -> Lever -> Sport. If this is trained/prioritized out of order, then inefficient movement occurs and the risk of injury, and/or decreased performance, results.
